The Valparaiso Parks Foundation exists because of the generosity of individuals, corporations and organizations in the community who provide in-kind and cash donations to support our work.
The following are ways to give to the Valpo Parks Foundation:
Gifts in Honor, Memory, and Special Occasions
This option is simple, fast and flexible! Give at the level that best suits you:
Oak $250 or more
Gifts to the Valparaiso Parks Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Gifts in Honor, Memory, & Special Occasions
Give the gift of parks! Honor giving is a meaningful way to make a gift in "memory of" or in "honor of" a friend or loved one. It also makes a great birthday, anniversary, wedding or graduation gift! The gift of parks is a gift that preserves quality parks and green space for generations to come!
This gift alternative takes a variety of different forms. As an enduring symbol of your generosity, a bequest supports the changing needs of our Parks for generations. A bequest can be a specific lump sum of money willed to one of the Valparaiso Parks Foundation's endowment funds or your own named endowment fund. It can also take the form of a percentage of your estate or a piece of property. In addition, the Valpo Parks Foundation can be identified as the residual beneficiary of your estate, as the recipient of a specified gift, a contingent beneficiary or as the ultimate recipient of the assets of a charitable remainder trust.
A gift of real estate can be made to the Valpo Parks Foundation while providing the donor with lifetime use of the property. At the time of passing, the property becomes an asset of the Valpo Parks Foundation and is excluded from the donor's estate, which can create significant favorable tax consequences.
Companies and individuals can make gifts of products and services to help support the Valpo Parks Foundation. If you have a service or talent to share, please contact us.
