Sponsor-a-Rider Fundraising Program

Tell your friends, family and neighbors you want to be "sponsored!" Young riders are encouraged to ask for monetary donations as a way to get "sponsored." Riders who collect $100, $250 and higher are eligible to received prizes. The fundraising program will end on July 31. All sponsor-a-rider participants will be recognized on a plaque at the new skatepark.

Who is part of the planning process of the skatepark?
A task force is in place with local skate enthusiasts as well as key players in making this skatepark a reality -  Dug Ketterman of DugOut Design Studio (& former Valparaiso Viking), Jeff Zielinski of Driftwood Collective, and Matt Keiser of Abonmarche.

Where will the skatepark be located?

After multiple sites were considered and a thorough analysis was completed, Fairgrounds Park was selected as the future site of the Valparaiso Skatepark.

Will this skatepark be for more than just skateboarders?
Yes! We will cater to all sports including: skateboard, bike, scooter and skates.

When will this skatepark be complete?
Our goal is to have cost estimates by the end of May. With the proper funding we hope to have construction in progress by 2022.
