Flounder & Friends Skatepark
Spanning over 15,000 square feet, Flounder & Friends Skatepark incorporates a range of ramps to cater to every rider’s excitement. From a captivating mini ramp and bowl to many street features, including a unique fish-shaped bowl, a stair set with a rail, a quarter pipe, a mini ramp, and a musical pad, this park promises an immersive and thrilling skating experience.
Flounder & Friends Skatepark welcomes skateboarders, bikers, scooter riders, and skaters alike. Designed for skaters of all skill levels and abilities, the park provides an environment for riders to progress and hone their techniques.
Equipped with outdoor lights, the park extends its operating hours, allowing enthusiasts to skate longer in the winter months.

Who was part of the planning process of the skatepark?
A task force is in place with local skate enthusiasts as well as key players in making this skatepark a reality - Dug Ketterman of DugOut Design Studio (& former Valparaiso Viking), Jeff Zielinski of Driftwood Collective, and Matt Keiser of Abonmarche.

Yes! We cater to all sports including: skateboard, bike, scooter and skates.

Valpo Parks Foundation is excited to announce that long-time community and Parks supporter, Deb Koeppen, has been hired to help with the final fundraising push for the project.
