Fall Fishing Classic

Grab your tackle and join us for a fall day of fishing fun! Cast your line, compete for prizes, and enjoy the crisp air by the water. Presented in partnership with Friends of Fishing.

Event Details

• Ages: All ages welcome
• Date:  Saturday, September 19, 2026
• Location: Rogers Lakewood Park
• Time: 7:00 am - 12:00 pmm, awards to follow
• Registration: Registrations begin on site the day of the event beginning at 6:30 am at the Program Center. For any questions prior to the event, please email jgreene@valpo.us
• Fees: $30 Adult (16 & under free)

Registration begins at 6:30am on the day of the event. Weigh-in at noon, all live fish. Biggest fish payouts in the following categories: Bass, Bluegill/Redear/Warmouth, Crappie, Perch. Fish can be measured at the anytime during the day and then released. Fishing from park property only - or fishing from your own boat or kayak you can launch onsite.  

All Indiana state fishing regulations apply—licenses are required. Bass and Walleye can be measured and released if below required length. Only kids fish for prizes. Besides fishing contests, there is a 50/50 raffle. Come join the Friends of Fishing for a day of fishing, fellowship, food and fun.
